Solution:
To add depth, various shades of green were used for trees and bushes, with shadows applied to select buildings to create a three-dimensional effect and distinguish foreground from background. The final image featured iconography representing the diverse demographics using universally recognised symbols.
Approach:
After researching the Medway area, various points of interest were selected; Medway River and Rochester Castle.
The brief called for a minimalist approach to the colour palette, ensuring that the population, river, and castle were the focal points to represent the Medway community. Three of the four elements; air, water, and earth were reflected in the chosen colours.
Overview:
The brief was to design an image to represent the Medway Community which could be used by the Director in various communication materials including presentation slides.
The brief requested that the slide would resonate with the Medway community needed to consider the population and explore how best to illustrate this on the image.
